WhiteFiber Expands AI Infrastructure with Acquisition of New Data Center Sites in North Carolina

WhiteFiber Expands its Presence in North Carolina

In an exciting development for the tech industry, WhiteFiber, Inc. (Nasdaq: WYFI) has announced the successful acquisition of two significant industrial properties in Yadkin County, North Carolina, via its fully owned subsidiary, Enovum Data Centers Corp. The acquisition, which amounts to a total of $60 million in cash, marks a critical step in WhiteFiber's strategy to bolster its artificial intelligence infrastructure solutions.

Key Details of the Acquisition

The properties, identified as NC-2 and NC-3, span 120 acres and include 500,000 square feet of existing warehouse space. Located approximately 55 miles from WhiteFiber's existing NC-1 campus in Madison, North Carolina, these sites are projected to provide an initial gross utility capacity of at least 60 megawatts (MW). Impressively, this capacity could surge to approximately 200 MW within the next seven years, subject to power availability and confirmation.

WhiteFiber intends to transform these properties into state-of-the-art data center campuses, leveraging their extensive local development experience and operational expertise. The Company has already received non-binding letters of intent from several potential customers interested in capacity at the new sites, including recognized investment-grade counterparties with robust credit support.

“We are encouraged by the breadth of customer demand,” stated Sam Tabar, WhiteFiber's Chief Executive Officer. “Our focus is to transform that demand into long-term contracts while collaborating with local stakeholders on the development of these sites.”

Development Timelines

WhiteFiber is targeting late 2027 for the initial operational capacity at NC-2 and NC-3, pending customary development conditions. The Company plans to align its spending on development with definitive customer agreements and appropriate financing arrangements.

Moreover, in a strategic move to offset property carrying costs while advancing their development projects, portions of the acquired properties will be leased back to the previous owner through occupancy arrangements.

NC-1 Operational Update

In relation to WhiteFiber's existing NC-1 site, the company is facing some delays in ramping to full capacity due to switchgear-related commissioning issues. While approximately 35 MW of the contracted 40 MW IT deployment is now operational, services and billing for the first 20 MW IT data hall were interrupted, pushing back the timeline beyond August.

Despite these challenges, WhiteFiber remains optimistic about completing the capital investments needed for the initial contracted deployments as planned. The company is progressing with financing efforts in collaboration with a potential lending group, particularly focused on the initial contracted deployment at NC-1.

Looking Ahead

In summary, WhiteFiber’s proactive moves in acquiring the two properties in North Carolina demonstrate a clear commitment to enhancing its operational capacity and responding to the strong customer demand for AI infrastructure solutions. The upcoming developments not only signal growth for the Company but also promise to contribute positively to the local economy through job creation and community engagement.

WhiteFiber is set to report its third-quarter 2026 financial results on November 10, 2026, where further updates on financial and operational progress will be revealed. As the company continues to build on its regional advantages, the future looks promising.
