The NVISION Latino Film and Music Festival, which has celebrated Latino culture and artistic expression for over a decade, is set to relocate its marquee event to Miami in 2025. Following ten successful years in New York and Palm Springs, this pivotal festival will take place from September 5 to 7, 2025. The change in location marks a new era for the festival, aiming to amplify Latino voices in film and music while fostering community engagement and collaboration among artists.

Founded in 2015 by Latino filmmaker and photographer Danny Hastings, the festival aimed to address the underrepresentation of Latinos in the entertainment industry. It has since evolved into a vibrant community celebrating filmmakers, musicians, and artists, with particular emphasis on those from diverse backgrounds. The event has grown remarkably; in 2024, over 60% of submitted films were directed by women, reflecting a commitment to inclusivity and empowerment.

Miami, known as a cultural hub with one of the most diverse Latino populations globally, is seen as the perfect new home for NVISION. The city offers a rich tapestry of Latino culture and innovation, making it a fitting backdrop for the festival's mission to elevate Latino storytelling in the arts.

The 2025 festival promises a dynamic lineup showcasing the rich diversity and creativity of Latino talent, including film screenings and music performances. NVISION aims to inspire audiences while honoring the vibrant Latino culture through these artistic mediums. The success of the festival can be seen from its landmark 2024 event, which featured four feature-length films, 60 short films, and nine panels that highlighted a diverse range of international contributions.

Awards at the NVISION festival also spotlight exceptional talents. The 2024 winners included Ponyboi by Esteban Arango (Best U.S. Feature) and Boca Chica by Gabriella Moses (Best International Feature), both receiving substantial cash prizes. Submissions for the upcoming festival are already open, welcoming U.S. and international shorts across various genres such as drama, horror/sci-fi, documentary, and more.
