Discovering Ishigaki Island: Kengo Tarumi's Photo Exhibition
This summer, immerse yourself in the enchanting beauty of Ishigaki Island at a unique photo exhibition titled "Island Island Time" by renowned photographer Kengo Tarumi. Organized by Time Arrow Yaeyama Co., Ltd., this event will take place at the Kuramoto Sake & Gallery within the Ishigaki Island Hotel Cucule from July 18 to August 2, 2026. Celebrated for over fifty years of captivating photography, Tarumi’s works portray the rich natural landscapes and the daily lives of the people from Okinawa. The exhibition will feature 25 exquisite tapestries that encapsulate the essence and memories of the islands.

This exhibition invites visitors to experience the vibrant air of the islands, beautifully captured in Tarumi's stunning photography. The tapestry setup not only decorates the venue but creates an immersive experience, making the exhibition space feel like an extension of the islands themselves. This special event features an intimate discussion where Tarumi shares his insights about the charm of the islands he has captured through his lens, accompanied by the melodic voice of Miyara.
