Yoshimoto Comedians Teach High School Students Communication Skills in Chiba

Unlock Your Charm: Learn Communication Skills from Yoshimoto Comedians

On March 26th, 2026, Chiba University’s Sumida Satellite Campus will host a unique workshop aimed at high school students, titled “Unlock Your Charm: Experience Learning Communication Skills with Yoshimoto Comedians.” This special event, organized by the certified NPO Kids Door, seeks to enhance students' communication abilities by integrating humor and performance into the learning experience. The workshop is sponsored by MetLife Foundation.

Kids Door, established in 2009, is dedicated to supporting underprivileged children, primarily focusing on high school students and youth who have dropped out. The organization has actively worked on addressing the issue of child poverty in Japan by providing learning assistance and life-support programs. This workshop represents another effort to assist high school students as they prepare for interviews and presentations, crucial moments that require effective self-expression.

Workshop Details

The communication workshop will consist of two sessions:
1. First session: 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
2. Second session: 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Students can register for either session. Each session accommodates up to 30 participants on a first-come, first-served basis. The workshop is entirely free, and participants will receive a transportation subsidy of up to 1,500 yen for round-trip travel.

The primary theme of this workshop is “Discover the Joy of Expressing Yourself!” Students who may struggle with public speaking or articulating their thoughts will benefit from interactive activities led by Yoshimoto comedians. Incorporating laughter and humor, the event is designed to make learning enjoyable while enhancing each student’s ability to express themselves and communicate effectively.
