The History of Kabe no Ana
Founded in 1953 under the name “Hole in the Wall” in Central Tokyo by the late Takayasu Narimatsu, Kabe no Ana has a rich history intertwined with Japan's culinary evolution. Narimatsu's encounter with notable figures during his time led to the unique creation of what would become known as Japanese-style spaghetti. Extensive feedback from customers helped in perfecting the dishes, which included various innovative ingredients like soy sauce, natto, and seaweed. Today, the restaurant holds the title of the birthplace of cod roe spaghetti and boasts over 200 variations of spaghetti dishes, catering to all palates.
Kabe no Ana emphasizes quality ingredients, encouraging customers to interact with chefs during the cooking process, ensuring satisfaction is achieved. The establishment's commitment to building lasting relationships with patrons is reflected in its choice of name, inspired by Shakespeare's famous play, making Kabe no Ana a heartwarming and welcoming spot.
