LX Pantos Expands Global Reach with New Logistics Center in Poland

LX Pantos Accelerates Global Expansion with Polish Acquisition

On March 16, 2026, LX Pantos, a leading logistic company headed by Global CEO Lee Yong-ho, announced a significant step in its global expansion strategy through the acquisition of a logistics center in Katowice, southern Poland. This move, valued at approximately $148 million, is part of their ambitious plan to enhance their operational capabilities and geographical reach across Europe and beyond.

Strategic Acquisition Details

The logistics center, known as the Katowice Logistics Center, spans a total area of 109,000 square meters across five buildings. Currently under development, the facility is expected to be operational in several phases, with full completion anticipated in the first half of 2026. Already, several global and local companies have signed leases, indicating robust interest in this strategically-located hub.

With the Katowice Logistics Center, LX Pantos aims to establish a central logistics hub in Eastern Europe, expanding its services into key sectors such as automotive components, consumer goods, and home appliances. Furthermore, it will serve as a critical logistics base to support increased demand, especially with the anticipated reconstruction efforts in Ukraine.

Global Expansion Efforts

Apart from its developments in Europe, LX Pantos is actively scaling its operations in other strategic markets, including the United States and Asia. In the U.S., the company established Boxlinks LLC, a joint venture with Ocean Network Express (ONE), which also included the acquisition of a large-scale logistics center in Georgia. This facility covers an impressive area of 304,769 square meters, equivalent to around 43 football fields, and is strategically aimed at enhancing intermodal operations.

In Northeast Asia, LX Pantos has partnered with Sinotrans to form FutureLinks, focusing on the multimodal transport network between China and Korea. This partnership aims to leverage e-commerce-driven air and sea shipping routes that have seen explosive growth originating in China.

Future and Commitment

Lee Yong-ho emphasized the importance of these expansions for LX Pantos: "Our company operates subsidiaries in 40 countries with a global network exceeding 380, delivering integrated logistics solutions that encompass sea, air, rail, and contract transportation. The establishment of the Katowice Logistics Center marks a strategic point in our effort to strengthen our presence in the European logistics market."

Company Overview

Founded in 1977, LX Pantos stands out as a global leader in the logistics sector based in Korea. The company offers comprehensive logistics solutions that integrate maritime, air, rail, and contract transportation, supported by a vast network that spans over 40 countries. The recent acquisition not only indicates LX Pantos's commitment to growth but also highlights the increasing role of the logistic sector in addressing global challenges and economic demands.
