Experience Shinsu Apples and Music at Ginza NAGANO's Special Christmas Cafe Event

Celebrate Christmas with Shinsu Apples and Music at Ginza NAGANO

On December 25, 2025, Ginza NAGANO, the information hub connecting Tokyo and Nagano, will host a unique, one-day cafe event titled "Merry Apple Christmas – Experience Shinsu Apples and Christmas Melodies in Ginza". With the entire city in the spirit of Christmas, this event promises to offer a delightful experience with a blend of local flavors and music.

This year marks a time of diverse celebrations. It's not just about spending festive times with family, friends, or partners anymore; people are increasingly opting for self-rewarding experiences known as “oshi-katsu” and embracing unique ways to enjoy the holiday season. Against this backdrop, Ginza NAGANO has curated a special Christmas event that highlights the best of Nagano: Shinsu apples and music.

Nagano proudly holds the No. 2 rank in apple production in Japan, making apples a staple product associated with the prefecture. Recently, the attention on Nagano’s varieties, highlighted by the appointment of the Shinsu Green Apple Ambassador and media features showcasing the Nagano Red Meat Apple, has piqued public curiosity toward apples. Thus, this event will feature a series of unique activities designed to “taste, learn, and enjoy” Nagano apples.

Special Cafe Experience

On the day of the event, Ginza NAGANO will collaborate with Asanoya Bakery, a historic establishment from Karuizawa, to offer a range of exclusive menus made with Nagano apples. One of the highlights includes a limited-edition tasting set featuring apples, with only 50 available. Customers can look forward to a traditional Christmas treat: Asanoya's special apple pie and stollen, served alongside a unique Apple Christmas Plate featuring Nagano apples.

Also, attendees can enjoy two different Christmas stollen varieties, a treat that many eagerly anticipate each year during this festive season. The Christmas-themed menu provides a spectacular chance to savor the delicious offerings of Nagano.

For music lovers, the event will feature performances by musicians associated with Nagano. They will present classic Christmas songs and tracks related to Nagano-born artists. Adding to the festive spirit, guests dining at the event can partake in the "Apple Gift" initiative. The first 50 guests will receive an apple-shaped ornament from the Christmas tree, which can be exchanged for a real Nagano apple.

Holiday-Themed Wine and Sake Gift Wrapping Campaign

In addition to the event, throughout December, Ginza NAGANO will run a campaign offering complimentary festive gift wrapping for customers who purchase sake or wine above a certain amount. This is perfect for selecting gifts that embody the spirit of Nagano, featuring local produce, sweets, and other delightful gifts.
