Monster Energy Freeski Champions at FIS World Cup Finals
Monster Energy proudly celebrates the incredible achievements of its freeski team at the recent FIS Freeski World Cup Finals held in Tignes, France. This thrilling event, which took place from March 11-14, 2025, marked the conclusion of the 2024/25 season and saw multiple athletes from the Monster Energy family claiming podium spots and Crystal Globe trophies in both Big Air and Slopestyle disciplines.
In the fiercely contested Men's Freeski Slopestyle competition,
Alex Hall, a 26-year-old athlete from Park City, Utah, clinched first place, earning the prestigious
2024/25 Crystal Globe trophy in this discipline and securing his title as the new world champion. Hall's standout performance was remarkable—he came into the finals ranked fourth overall, which made his victory all the more impressive. His winning run featured an array of challenging tricks, including a left double cork 1620 and a switch left double cork 1440, ultimately scoring him
90.10 points, enough to secure the win.
Hall expressed his excitement post-victory, stating, "I was really stoked on those rails. Those were some of the hardest rails I've ever done in competition. I was stoked that I just risked it all and it worked out."
Completing the podium in the Slopestyle event,
Colby Stevenson, another talented 27-year-old from Park City, finished third in the season rankings with a total of
229 points. Stevenson's consistent performances throughout the season have solidified his status as one of the leading freestylers in the sport.
In the Men's Freeski Big Air competition,
Luca Harrington, a promising 20-year-old rider from Wānaka, New Zealand, made headlines by securing third place. Not only did this achievement bring him immediate recognition, but it also earned him the
2024/25 Crystal Globe trophy as the first-ever New Zealand skier to accomplish this historic feat. Luca demonstrated his skills with high-scoring runs, including a switch right triple 1800 and a right triple 1980, which totaled
187 points for the day.
Meanwhile, on the women’s side,
Ruby Star Andrews, a 20-year-old athlete from Queenstown, New Zealand, showcased her talents in the Women's Freeski Slopestyle final and also took home third place. Andrews executed a technical run that earned her a score of
