Infosys and Knorr-Bremse Collaborate for AI-Driven Transformation

This partnership is designed to facilitate a comprehensive transformation of Knorr-Bremse's IT systems, emphasizing the integration of artificial intelligence.

Knorr-Bremse AG is renowned globally for manufacturing braking systems and safety-critical components essential for rail and commercial vehicles. Through this alliance, Infosys pledges to provide end-to-end managed services across Knorr-Bremse’s entire corporate applications ecosystem. This initiative falls under Knorr-Bremse’s IT transformation program known as “Tech4Value” (T4V), which encompasses both its rail vehicle and commercial vehicle segments.

The collaborative endeavor aims to streamline and modernize Knorr-Bremse's IT landscape while enhancing service quality for its global workforce. The transformation will allow Knorr-Bremse to transition towards a value-driven, sustainable IT operational model. The project encompasses the entire suite of applications used by the company – from essential ERP and data platforms to engineering and product lifecycle management systems. Beyond mere technological upgrades, this transformation enhances operational resilience while also focusing on compliance and service governance. Moreover, it facilitates quicker innovation cycles and a more collaborative engineering environment, ultimately improving the employee experience.

Leveraging its knowledge in SAP, data management, engineering, and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Infosys is set to enhance the traditional managed services offered to Knorr-Bremse by incorporating AI-driven functions through Infosys Topaz. This integration of generative and agent-based AI technologies represents a significant leap forward for Knorr-Bremse.
