Strategic Partnership between ECB and DXC Technology



On April 1, 2026, the European Central Bank (ECB) unveiled its new strategic partnership with DXC Technology Deutschland GmbH, a leading figure in technology and innovation, to enhance its IT infrastructure management and end-user computing services. This partnership marks a significant milestone aimed at reinforcing operational stability and flexibility within the ECB's digital landscape.

As outlined in the official award notice, the agreement is a framework contract initially set for five years, with the possibility of extending to eight years. This arrangement allows for managed IT services, which will be delivered exclusively through DXC's delivery centers located in the European Economic Area (EEA). Through this collaboration, the ECB aims to ensure that its IT operations remain stable, scalable, and modern.

DXC Technology will take charge of various essential IT services, including operational management, maintenance, and support. Importantly, the ECB will maintain full ownership of all its IT assets and will continue to host its IT services within secure data centers, adhering strictly to its governance and security framework. This commitment to security ensures that the ECB's technological backbone remains robust and aligned with its operational objectives.
