Subaru to Compete with Two Teams at the 2025 Rebelle Rally

Subaru Joins the 2025 Rebelle Rally with Champion Teams

Subaru of America, Inc. has made an exciting announcement as it prepares to sponsor two outstanding teams for the 2025 Rebelle Rally, set to take place from October 8 to 18, 2025. This extraordinary event will challenge participants through the rugged terrains of Nevada and California's deserts, marking a significant occasion as the longest competitive off-road rally in the U.S. and the first women's endurance off-road rally in the country.

Both teams, competing in the X-Cross class, will be led by past rally champions, adding a competitive edge to this remarkable event. Team MTNSUBI will be represented by Carey Lando and Andrea Shaffer, the 2024 X-Cross class champions who previously triumphed using Lando's personal 2014 Subaru Outback. They will switch gears and race in the innovative 2025 Subaru Forester Touring Hybrid. Meanwhile, Team Desert Disco will consist of Emme Hall, a two-time rally champion, and her co-driver Kendra Miller, who will be navigating the challenging course in a 2026 Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness.

What makes these teams particularly special is how their Subaru vehicles are tailored for the rigors of the Rebelle Rally. Collaborating with Subaru, the teams have outfitted their entries with specialized parts and accessories, showcasing a fusion of durable engineering and personal flair via custom wraps designed to reflect each team's personality and spirit.

The 2025 Subaru Forester Touring Hybrid employed by MTNSUBI features Subaru's next-generation series-parallel hybrid powertrain combined with the brand's renowned Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system. The race-ready model encompasses a powerful 2.5-liter SUBARU BOXER® engine paired with electric motors and a Lineartronic® CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission), well-suited for traversing over 1,500 miles of challenging off-road terrain. For additional stability, Lando and Shaffer have further enhanced their Forester Hybrid with an STI flexible strut tower brace, upgraded WRX front brakes, and robust Crosstrek Wilderness rear brakes—critical modifications to successfully conquer the rigorous demands expected in the desert.

In contrast, Team Desert Disco's 2026 Crosstrek Wilderness is ready to take on the wild. With a ground clearance of 9.3 inches, this robust vehicle features standards like the X-MODE® Dual Mode System. To prepare their vehicle for the rally, minor modifications have been made, including the installation of a Thule Caprock roof rack for additional cargo needs, Method wheels fitted with BFGoodrich T/A All-Terrain KO2 tires, Asfir 4x4 skid plates for undercarriage protection, and even a Dometic refrigerator for both comfort and convenience during their journey.

The journey of both teams will be traceable across various social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, as they share the thrilling exploration and challenges encountered in the 2025 Rebelle Rally.

As Subaru celebrates its involvement in this prestigious rally, it stands by its commitment to not just being an automotive manufacturer but as a brand dedicated to community support and environmental stewardship. Subaru of America has made impressive strides to incorporate sustainability into their operations by ensuring that all their vehicles are produced in zero-landfill plants and maintain a commitment to making the world a better place through its Subaru Love Promise®.

For rally enthusiasts and Subaru fans alike, this event presents an incredible opportunity to witness technology, endurance, and the spirit of adventure in synergy. Stay tuned for updates from the Subaru rally teams as they prepare to embark on this monumental journey of resilience and camaraderie in the beautiful yet challenging terrains of the Rebelle Rally.
