&City Sunshine City Story Award 2025: Celebrating Memorable Moments

On February 20, 2026, the Sunshine City, a landmark in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, is set to unveil ten award-winning stories from the &City Sunshine City Story Award 2025 along with three original creations inspired by these narratives. The annual award, which ran its submission period from July 24 to September 30, 2025, seeks to reminisce about the unique experiences created within the vibrant atmosphere of Sunshine City.

The &City Initiative

Launched in 2022, the &City initiative represents the bond between Sunshine City and its visitors. With over 30 million guests annually, the project encourages patrons to share their cherished memories. This marks the third year of the project, which has received an impressive 230 submitted stories to date. Notably, the event aims to foster cultural engagement in line with Toshima Ward's vision of nurturing a rich, vibrant community.
