As the company approaches its 27th anniversary on June 26, 2025, it aims to achieve a target sales figure of 6.3 billion yen for the upcoming fiscal year.

Commitment to Employee Welfare

In a surprising announcement during the meeting, CEO Hideo Arai revealed plans for a monthly wage increase of up to 20,000 yen for full-time employees. This decision underscores the company’s commitment to employee welfare, one of its core management philosophies, recognizing the importance of providing stable living conditions for its workforce. This wage increase is set to be implemented starting from the October payroll.

Hideo Arai, born in March 1977, became the company’s Executive President in January 2022 after a light-hearted suggestion from former President Yoshikawa, leading him to step into a leadership role. Outside of work, Arai enjoys swimming and sauna sessions, which he finds refreshing and often leads to new ideas during his swim time.

Hideo Arai’s career began in 1999 when he graduated from university and joined a major home improvement retailer. Climbing the ranks over 14 years, he became a store manager and then a regional manager before joining Prima Vera in August 2013. His tenure at Prima Vera has seen him take on various roles, culminating in his appointment as company president in July 2022.
