Cultural Bureau Architectural Culture Summit
The Cultural Bureau is dedicated to leveraging the country's rich cultural assets to foster new value creation through public-private partnerships. As part of the second phase of its Basic Plan for Promoting Culture and the Arts announced in March 2023, the promotion of architectural culture has been identified as a crucial strategy for enhancing social and economic vitality.
In line with this vision, the Cultural Bureau is focusing on modern architecture, aiming to promote its preservation and utilization. Recent efforts have sprung up across various regions, emphasizing the importance of adapting cherished local structures and landscapes to contemporary needs, thereby generating a positive cycle between culture and the economy.
The summit will feature practitioners at the forefront of these initiatives, who will share case studies, present expert perspectives, and engage participants in comprehensive discussions. Together, the aim is to explore how to connect historical significance with modern relevance and pass this legacy on to future generations. Attendees will also delve into the new possibilities of urban and regional development as they plan for the future of architectural culture.
This summit is free to attend, but prior registration is required. We look forward to your participation.
What is Architectural Culture?
Architectural culture is the understanding of buildings and urban landscapes not as mere real estate, but as "cultural assets of the region." By preserving and utilizing these buildings, we enhance the charm of the area and contribute to the vitality of both the economy and everyday life.
