CES 2026 Kicks Off Today in Las Vegas
The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026 has officially opened its doors today, welcoming visionaries, industry experts, government leaders, investors, and media from around the world to the global hub of technology innovation. The event spans over 240,000 square feet and serves as a platform where innovative ideas come to life. With more than 4,100 exhibitors showcasing cutting-edge solutions in accessibility, artificial intelligence (AI), digital health, energy, enterprise solutions, immersive entertainment, mobility, quantum physics, and robotics, the CES stands as the largest technology event in the world.
The show kicked off with two dynamic media days filled with key product announcements, partnership unveilings, and exclusive product demonstrations. Organized by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), CES 2026 runs until January 9 at 13 venues across Las Vegas, including the newly renovated Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC). This year's CES marks the first event to utilize the revamped conference center, which is part of a $600 million renovation project.

AMD
Dr. Lisa Su, Chair and CEO of AMD, discussed the company's AI product portfolio and its industry-wide collaborations, emphasizing that AI is becoming integral in various applications. She introduced new AI-focused products including the Ryzen AI 400 series for next-gen AI PCs and the MI440X GPU for enterprises, as well as the Ryzen AI Halo developer platform aimed at enhancing AI integration from data centers to edge devices. AMD also announced a $150 million initiative to bring AI resources into schools and communities.
Siemens
Roland Busch, CEO of Siemens AG, discussed advancements intended to accelerate the industrial AI revolution. He joined Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, on stage to elaborate on their partnership aimed at advancing an industrial AI operating system. Siemens launched the Digital Twin Composer software, facilitating the large-scale implementation of the industrial metaverse. Athina Kanioura, Global Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer of PepsiCo, provided insights into how the company utilizes this software for facility upgrades in the USA and plans for global expansion.
Media Days (January 4-5)
Press conferences held at the Mandalay Bay Hotel saw major companies like Bosch, Hyundai, LG Electronics, and Sony Honda Mobility unveil significant announcements, stirring a global media frenzy. At the official press event, CES Unveiled Las Vegas, over 225 companies presented their innovative products including playful toothbrushes for kids, non-invasive ear pressure relief devices, and AI-powered portable note systems.
CES Tech Trends to Watch
Brian Comiskey and Melissa Harrison from CTA briefed attendees on trending technologies at CES 2026. Their presentation underscored how AI is enhancing personalized consumer experiences and advancing digital health solutions for longer and healthier lives. The U.S. Consumer Technology Industry Forecast predicts a revenue of $565 billion in 2026, reflecting a 3.7% growth from the previous year.

As part of the CES 2026 Green Grants program, CTA has announced funding of $125,000 to support key sustainability initiatives in Las Vegas, including contributions to city-wide tree planting and energy-efficient streetlight upgrades. Newly launched, the CES Foundry brings together leading AI and quantum scientists, hosting a two-day program of content, demos, and networking opportunities.
