Celebrate Sanja Matsuri at ENGAWA ASAKUSA!
The Sanja Matsuri, one of Japan’s most celebrated festivals, is a spectacular event that takes place annually from the third Friday to Sunday of May at Asakusa Shrine. During this exciting time, the streets of Asakusa come alive with vibrant energy, drawing approximately 1.8 million attendees over three days. Each year, around 100 district floats, or
mikoshi, proudly parade through the town, showcasing tradition and cultural richness.
This year, ENGAWA ASAKUSA is the perfect place to immerse yourself in the festivities while enjoying a unique selection of drinks and foods specifically curated for this event. For three days, from May 15 to 17, festival-goers can savor artisan craft beers from all over Japan, accompanied by delightful sake options and themed non-alcoholic beverages.
Asakusa's famous
