Bulgari's Grand Exhibition in Japan
On September 24, 2025, the National Art Center in Tokyo will host an unprecedented exhibition titled "Bulgari Kaleidoscope: Color, Culture, and Craftsmanship." This marks Bulgari's largest-ever showcase in Japan after a decade-long hiatus. The exhibition is a vibrant journey highlighting around 350 exquisite jewelry pieces alongside contemporary masterpieces, celebrating the remarkable dialogue between Italian and Japanese cultures.
The gala dinner event featured Angela Reynolds, director of Perrotin Tokyo and a model who shared her enthusiasm for Bulgari's collaboration with the prestigious Venice Biennale and the activities of the foundation established last year. She expressed, "I am eager to see how things will unfold with Bulgari’s new collaboration with the Venice Biennale, and I was incredibly drawn to this expansive exhibition in Asia. It felt like a colorful journey tracing the creative processes where jewelry, architecture, and contemporary art converge. The exhibition encapsulated the brand's diverse identity formed by inspiration, craftsmanship, innovation, philosophy, aesthetic sense, vision, and sincere passion."
Angela particularly resonated with the story of Bulgari's revival of the cabochon cut during an era when faceted cuts were predominant in the 1950s. "This choice seemed to stem from a deep love and respect for the materials themselves. I am convinced that this commitment is what allows Bulgari to remain such a beloved and influential maison for so many years."
