Categories
Participants can enter their submissions in two main categories:

Best Practices Category: This category invites case studies of successfully executed renovations.

Renovation Idea Category: This invites innovative proposals for future renovation projects.
Eligibility
To participate, entrants must be property owners, tenants, designers, contractors, or others involved in the renovation process. Please note that applications from national and local government entities are excluded.
Awards and Recognition
Each category will recognize outstanding submissions with awards that include:

Timeline for Submissions
The submission period for the contest starts from
October 30, 2027, and ends on

In early February 2028, the selection committee will conduct an initial screening based on the submitted documentation to determine finalists for the final evaluation round. On February 17, during the public evaluation session, the jury will announce the winners based on comprehensive review criteria specified in the contest guidelines.

Notably, for submissions that fulfill the Tokyo Metropolitan requirements, the city will provide subsidies for renovation costs, encouraging the realization of inventive concepts.
