The Belgian Beer Weekend 2026 (BBW 2026) is set to take place from April 16 to 19, 2026, in the scenic Hibiya Park, Tokyo. After a successful inaugural event last year, BBW 2026 promises to bring back an exhilarating blend of Belgian beer, gourmet cuisine, and live music in this urban oasis.

A Taste of 14 Types and 83 Varieties of Belgian Beer

At this year's event, attendees can indulge in a wide selection of Belgian beer, featuring 14 different types and an impressive 83 varieties. Whether you prefer a light white beer or a refreshing saison to enjoy outdoors in spring, or a stronger Trappist beer or special brown ale for cooler evening moments, BBW 2026 has something to fit every occasion. Notably, six types of Belgian beers will make their debut at the festival, offering a perfect opportunity for beer enthusiasts to explore new flavors.

Gourmet Pairings That Perfectly Complement the Beers

The festival isn't just about beer; it’s also a gastronomic experience. The gourmet offerings include popular Belgian dishes such as 'Frits', mouthwatering meatballs known as 'Boulette', and mussels steamed in Belgian beer, all designed to pair beautifully with the extensive beer selection. Food stalls featuring a variety of sausages and the beloved Belgian waffles—served with an array of toppings—will ensure that your taste buds are thoroughly pleased.

Live Jazz and Entertainment

Adding to the vibrant atmosphere, the fabulous jazz band Alex Koo Trio from Belgium will perform for the first time at BBW. They will provide a relaxed musical backdrop that aligns perfectly with the ambiance of sipping fine Belgian brews amidst friends. On the weekends, two skilled DJs will take the stage to enhance the lively atmosphere, guaranteeing entertainment throughout the event.

Celebrate Belgium-Japan Relations

2026 marks a significant year as it celebrates the 160th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Belgium and Japan. Throughout 2026, BBW will strengthen cultural ties by sharing the unique qualities of Belgian culture and the exquisite flavor of Belgian beer at six different venues until December.
