George Mason University Achieves Top Graduate Rankings in Virginia and Nationwide
George Mason University, located in Fairfax, Virginia, has recently garnered significant recognition from U.S. News & World Report in its annual Best Graduate Program rankings. The homeland security and emergency management program ranked 4th nationally and also holds the title of the best in Virginia. As demand for public service professionals surges, job growth in public administration is projected to rise by 6% from 2021 to 2031, emphasizing the relevance of these programs.
The business school at George Mason witnessed considerable growth as well. The graduate business programs had 12 ranked categories, with several newly recognized, and three programs earned the top rank in Virginia. The part-time Costello Flex MBA program notably improved its position from 80th to 59th nationally, illustrating GMU's proactive approach in enhancing the quality and appeal of its graduate programs.
In the realm of science and technology, engineering and computer science programs flourished, with George Mason ranking in nine related areas.
