Career Mum Launches the CHEER UP Program
Career Mum, headquartered in Tama City, Tokyo, has just announced the start of the second phase of its free skill enhancement initiative aimed at single mothers. This program, called the
CHEER UP Program, combines skill training and supportive employment resources to empower single mothers throughout Japan, especially in regions such as Aichi, Mie, Gifu, Ishikawa, Toyama, Niigata, and Fukui.
Background of the Initiative
For over 25 years, Career Mum has successfully supported the employment of more than 1,000 single parents. The aim of this new program is to increase income through skill enhancement and job support services, ultimately encouraging participants to “work authentically and live authentically.”
Features of the Program
The CHEER UP Program boasts three primary features:

Skill Enhancement Support: Participants will receive guidance to acquire both digital and business skills.

Dual Support System: The program offers a supportive framework consisting of career consultants and dedicated supporters for single parents.
3.
Employment Support: Comprehensive job matching services are provided, ranging from digital employment opportunities to non-computer-based roles, alongside entrepreneurial support initiatives.
Through the CHEER UP Program, Career Mum aims to enhance the financial, mental, and social independence of single mothers, providing holistic support for their journey toward self-reliance.
