Everything You Need to Know About Space Travelium TeNQ
Space Travelium TeNQ is a fascinating facility that combines thrilling space-themed experiences with educational displays. Visitors can enjoy unique art galleries, VR exhibits, a café, and a retail shop showcasing space-related products. Among the exciting offerings, attendees can find the Sangi booth in the satellite gallery, featuring the award-winning
Apadent toothpaste, inspired by NASA technology designed to protect astronauts' teeth in space.
The Connection Between Oral Health and Space
Since its inception in 1974 as a trading company, Sangi has seamlessly blended technology and health. The company recognized NASA's groundbreaking research on protecting astronauts' teeth and bones in a weightless environment. This wisdom drove Sangi's founder,
Shuji Sakuma, to envision a toothpaste that incorporates hydroxyapatite, a key component for dental health. In 1980, the
Apadent toothpaste was created, and by 1993, Sangi had developed the world's first therapeutic toothpaste containing medicinal hydroxyapatite, offering protection against cavities.
Awards and Advancements
Sangi's commitment to innovation has been recognized internationally. In 2024, their therapeutic hydroxyapatite toothpaste earned a spot in the Space Technology Hall of Fame, marking a significant achievement as the first Japanese company to be honored. This technology not only aims to prevent cavities but also supports oral health by targeting gum diseases and enhancing the overall well-being of users.
