CTIS Introduces Fun Winter English Program for Kids to Improve Skills

Introduction

The Capital Tokyo International School (CTIS) is pleased to announce its special winter training course aimed at elementary school students. This enriching program, named the 'English Step-Up Program,' will take place over two days on January 5th and 6th, 2026. It's perfect for beginners ready to dive into the world of English learning. During this engaging course, students will have the opportunity to strengthen their understanding of the unique rhythms and pronunciation of the English language.

The Importance of Early Learning

Many are familiar with the notion that mastering English pronunciation must begin at an early age. However, research shows that even elementary and middle school students can learn to speak clear English that resonates internationally through consistent practice using the correct methods. In Japanese schools, while grammar and vocabulary are emphasized, many students have limited exposure to actual conversational English—specifically, pronunciation and rhythm. This can lead to situations where students feel confident in their classrooms but struggle to communicate with native speakers effectively.

Program Overview

The 'English Step-Up Program' aims to help students acquire correct pronunciation and rhythm rather than just learning English that only works in school settings. The program fosters a genuine enjoyment of conveying thoughts and ideas in English, igniting a desire to engage further in conversations.

Fun Activities and Learning Techniques

This course is designed around the foundational components of the English language: pronunciation, rhythm, and voice. Through games and interactive activities, teachers will guide students in a fun and engaging manner, ensuring they understand and practice these essential elements thoroughly. The instructors will provide personalized attention, observing each student's progress and gently correcting their pronunciation, helping them build a solid foundation for effective expression in English.
