Riot Games Introduces Akali to 2XKO

On April 8, Riot Games officially launched their new champion, Akali, in the free-to-play 2v2 fighting game, 2XKO. This new character, known as the "Unseen Assassin," joins the roster alongside an exciting music release, an official single titled "Get It," featuring singer Nina Utashiro.

Meet Akali

Akali wields incredible agility combined with a unique skill set. Her combat style has an emphasis on rapid strikes, and her special ability, "Twilight's Veil," enhances her skills with smoke-based attacks. This means that mastering Akali will allow players to take down opponents at breakneck speed. With such dynamic abilities, Akali is set to change the landscape of 2XKO gameplay.

Players can watch Akali's command list and gameplay trailer, which highlight her powerful moves and how to play effectively as her. Available for immediate purchase at 1,000 KO points or with a champion token, she can also be unlocked through a three-week champion acquisition event. Once this event concludes, Akali will be available for purchase for 10,000 credits.

There’s great news for all players! All champions in 2XKO can be utilized in training and offline mode, allowing players to try out Akali before unlocking her. This access ensures everyone can familiarize themselves with her skills in a comfortable setting before diving into competitive play.

New Features: Local Duo Mode

In addition to Akali's launch, Riot Games has made local duo mode available across all platforms. With a second controller and a friend ready to jump into the action, players can team up on a single device to compete online together. When playing in local duo mode, your partner's selected champion will progress your account's mastery and complete all missions for that champion. This duo setup also doubles the account experience and credit rewards you gain from each match, making it an excellent way to farm credits with a friend!
