Empowering Women: My Fairy Godfathers Launch New Podcast 'Giving Back through Beauty'

A New Chapter for Empowerment: The 'Giving Back through Beauty' Podcast

As we usher in 2025, inspiration is in the air, especially from the inspiring team at the 'My Fairy Godfathers' Foundation. Founded in Florida in 2011 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, this organization has dedicated itself to empowering women through not just glamorous makeovers but profound experiences that encompass beauty from within. These transformative journeys target women enduring hardships such as illness, homelessness, and abuse.

Co-founders Andrew Ashton and Steven Anderson are thrilled to announce the launch of their new podcast, titled 'Giving Back through Beauty'. This exciting initiative is designed to spread their empowering message further, allowing listeners to connect with their mission in new and engaging ways. The hosts promise a vibrant blend of insightful discussion, humor, and the deeply touching stories of the women they serve.

Through the podcast, listeners can expect regular new episodes available on popular platforms like Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Amazon Music. Each episode will not only feature insightful conversations about beauty and empowerment but will also include special guests—particularly from those who have benefited from the foundation's programs. Former recipients of their prom experience or women who received wigs and styling during their cancer journeys will share their heartfelt stories, illustrating the profound impact of the foundation's work.

Andrew Ashton expressed his excitement, saying, "We are super excited to jump into the world of podcasting in hopes of spreading our mission to more people. Our goal is to help as many females as possible find their most confident selves and we recognize the growing need for this today." Andrew and Steven, both seasoned celebrity stylists, have poured their heart and soul into helping women recover their confidence through beauty, reaching over 5,000 women nationwide over the past decade.

In addition to specialized prom beauty packages and scholarships for students, the 'My Fairy Godfathers' Foundation has shown remarkable commitment to women battling cancer, contributing beauty kits to frontline workers, and providing vital beauty supplies to girls in over 40 high schools.

Steven Anderson added, "We look forward to reaching a new audience and giving back to even more through beauty. We believe every woman deserves to feel and look their best, and that feeling can truly empower them to achieve more." The essence of their mission is clear; they aim not just to provide medical support but to shine a light on the beauty within each woman.

Earlier this year, the duo traveled to Los Angeles, providing personalized wigs and styling sessions to over 70 women undergoing treatment. Among those helped was Nicole Eggert, a Baywatch alum, who expressed her emotional journey of rediscovery through her new hairstyle, a wavy blonde bob that made her feel like her old self again.

Looking ahead, the foundation is gearing up for its third annual gala, the Fairytale Ball, scheduled for September 13, 2025, in Tampa, Florida. This spectacular event has drawn nearly 850 attendees in the past, showcasing the power of philanthropy and community support in uplifting women in need. Funds raised during these events directly support the foundation’s various programs and beauty experiences.
