A Leader with Vision and Experience

Jon Vigue, a veteran in the attractions industry with nearly three decades of experience, steps into this pivotal role following his successful tenure at Wild Adventures Theme Park in Georgia. His tenure there was marked by strategic operational changes and development initiatives that significantly enhanced guest experiences. Vigue is known for his ability to create memorable moments for visitors while positioning parks for sustainable growth.

Vigue’s impressive background also includes nearly twenty years at Lake Compounce Theme Park where he played a critical role in the property’s revitalization efforts. Alongside his operational expertise, he has actively contributed to the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), where he most recently served as Chair of the Food & Beverage Committee for North America.

Major Investments and New Attractions

At Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, Vigue will oversee the park during a time of extensive development, which includes the recent unveiling of new attractions designed to ensure a memorable visit for guests. Earlier this year, the park introduced Lion and Hyena Ridge, which represents the largest animal habitat addition in over a decade. This immersive experience boasts stunning 270-degree viewing areas and features a pride of young male lions alongside a pair of hyenas, providing a close and personal encounter for visitors.

In 2025, the park launched Wild Oasis, a new family adventure area that has since enchanted guests with its exciting offerings. These developments showcase Busch Gardens' ongoing commitment to developing unique attractions that blend entertainment with education, particularly in their animal conservation efforts.

The park has also debuted the Wild Skies Drone Show, presenting an awe-inspiring spectacle that combines synchronized drones, fireworks, and vibrant music. This year’s shows include a special performance celebrating America’s 250th birthday, along with a brand new Busch Gardens-exclusive drone extravaganza starting on July 10.
