Paiza Announces Sponsorship for the Upcoming Computer Koshien 2025 Event

Paiza's Commitment to the Future of IT

Paiza Inc., based in Minato, Tokyo, operates as a platform for IT engineers seeking jobs, transitions, and education. Recently, the company announced its sponsorship for the upcoming Computer Koshien 2025, a national competition aimed at showcasing the talent and creativity of high school and technical college students in ICT fields.

What is Computer Koshien?

Computer Koshien is a prestigious event held in Japan where students from high schools and technical colleges compete in various aspects of ICT skills and creativity. Since its inception in 2003, the competition has grown to include around 32,000 participants over the past two decades. In 2025, students will compete in various categories such as programming, mobile development, and poster visual contests, demonstrating their skills and ideas on a national stage.

The Motivation Behind Sponsoring

With the ongoing shortage of IT professionals in Japan, Paiza views the enthusiasm and challenges faced by young participants as a critical force for empowering Japan's future digital landscape. Therefore, this sponsorship is more than just a financial contribution; it is a strategic initiative to foster long-term talent development.

Many previous participants have successfully transitioned to universities and various industries, indicating the event's importance in nurturing future IT leaders. Given the increasing emphasis on ICT education—highlighted by the mandatory implementation of an informational curriculum in high schools and the integration of AI and data science programs in universities—Paiza aims to broaden the pool of skilled professionals needed for a thriving digital economy.

Addressing gender disparities in the IT field, last year's contest introduced awards specifically for female students, aligning closely with Paiza's mission to support female IT talent.

Paiza Learning School Free Pass for Contestants

As part of its initiative to support competition participants, Paiza offers a Paiza Learning School Free Pass. This program provides free access to its comprehensive online programming learning service, valued at 1,490 yen per month (including tax). Participants can benefit from over 300 lessons, 2,300 instructional videos, and 4,800 exercises designed to enhance their coding skills.

Those using the service will also undergo the Paiza Skill Check, a proprietary system that evaluates programming abilities across six ranks (from S to E), which helps them tailor their learning according to their skill levels.
