Knight X's First Solo Concert at Nippon Budokan: A Magical Experience

Live Report: Knight X - 1st ONE MAN LIVE 2025 at Nippon Budokan

On August 13, 2025, the visual kei 2.5-dimensional singing group, Knight X, held their inaugural solo concert titled "Knight X - 1st ONE MAN LIVE 2025 at Nippon Budokan." The event marked a significant milestone after their rebranding from Knight A to Knight X in May 2025, following the addition of new member Takeyaki Sho.

The concert included two performances themed "Alice" and "Knight." This article covers the evening segment titled "Knight." As the lights dimmed, the atmosphere was electrified by a spectacular animation that linked to their performance. A spotlight illuminated a white chair on stage, heightening the anticipation as members Shiyun, Takeyaki Sho, Baau, and Teruto emerged dressed in their distinctive black knight costumes. The first song, "XSlay," which premiered just days earlier on August 9, set the tone with its pulsating beats and dynamic choreography, instantly captivating the audience.

The excitement peaked when fireballs erupted on stage, heralding the performance of "BOOGIE DOWN," a track released under the Knight A alias just months prior. The seamless blend of their voices showcased their unique camaraderie, and the vibrant stage lighting, coupled with sharp rap sequences in the song "Piki," revealed Knight X's unwavering spirit and artistic evolution as they transitioned to their new identity.

The crowd, known as Alice, erupted into cheers during the group's first member introduction song, "We're X," released on August 2. The energy soared with each introduction by Baau, Shiyun, Teruto, and Takeyaki Sho, arousing ecstatic responses from their fans. As they performed “EDEN,” the harmonies combined with their polished dance routines presented an image of pure bliss, reinforcing the sentiment that nothing could stand in their way.

Throughout the concert, the affection between the group and their fans was palpable. Baau expressed excitement, comments flowed from Shiyun on the significance of the evening, while Teruto’s charm had everyone grinning, culminating in an emotional connection that underlined their shared journey. Takeyaki Sho’s line inviting Alice to join him set the tone for the next powerful anthem, "IGNITE," serving as a fight song that bridged the distance between performers and the audience.

The evening continued with a mix of old hits and new sounds, culminating in moments of intimacy, dance breakdowns, and engaging audience participation. The group performed several covers, appealing to their fans from every era of their career, emphasizing their ability to evolve while honoring their past roots. Shiyun guided a clap-along ritual, wrapping the audience in a collective rhythm for "Sweet Trap" and later amping up the energy with "Jump!" and "Attention Lies."

A heartfelt segment ensued where they captured celebratory moments with the audience, prompting Takeyaki Sho to propose a special interactive segment featuring a rendition of “GO GO CRAZY,” connecting them with the larger STPR Family.

As music transitioned to visual storytelling with the song "KING," members donned pure white outfits, showcasing their versatility with martial arts-inspired movements that in turn exhibited their innate elegance and allure. The highlight of the performance included the emotionally charged track "Améiro Hanabi," that encapsulated gratitude, as well as a surprise introduction to "Mad Snow," where heartfelt dedication resonated through every note.

The concert reached a fever pitch with fan-favorite “FUCKIN FRUSTRATION,” where dynamic group interaction and passionate shouts brought the crowd to the brink of rapture. One more poignant moment came from the introspective closing number, "Yume no Sono Saki e," reminiscent of their first performance at Nippon Budokan with their former identity, representing their journey of growth and stability throughout their evolving chapter.

Ending the night was an exciting announcement of their new song, "Namo Naki Yume no Naka," which was unveiled in an engaging manner, teaching the crowd the choreography in real-time. The final performance culminated in a synchronized jump that echoed through the venue, leaving behind a memory stamped with heartfelt emotion and pride.

For the encore, each member expressed their sincere appreciation before launching into "Night Escape," intertwining voices that harmonized beautifully, cementing their bond further. As they concluded with gracious bows and a rush to thank fans, it became clear that Knight X had established their legacy at the Budokan.

The night was not only a celebration of their musical achievements but a testament to their unwavering spirit. Their dynamic performances and close ties with fans solidified Knight X as trailblazers within the 2.5D entertainment scene, poised to chase dreams alongside their fandom, Alice.
