In an ambitious move to modernize New Providence’s energy grid, the Bahamas Grid Company (BGC) has intensified its recruitment efforts, hiring 25 new personnel since July 2025. This initiative is one of the most significant workforce expansions in the local energy sector, supporting BGC’s vision of establishing a team of more than 150 dedicated professionals.

The recruitment initiative includes the following roles:

  • - Field Operations: Over 30% of the new recruits are groundmen, a starter role for aspiring line workers.
