Hinako Suda's Solo Exhibition: 'Body and Composition'
From September 5 to October 4, 2025, the gallery-cum-Taiwanese restaurant
'Paichu' in Roppongi will feature
Hinako Suda's solo exhibition titled
'Body and Composition'. Organized by
The Chain Museum, this exhibition aims to delve into the human experience and the essence of existence through art.
Overview of the Exhibition
Hinako Suda, a recent graduate of Tokyo University of the Arts where she majored in oil painting, presents a collection of works that reflect her fascination with the living body and presence. Her art captures not specific individuals, but universal representations of the human form. The artist believes that every person possesses a body, and being aware of one’s physical existence brings immense joy and excitement. Suda emphasizes that acknowledging one’s body requires no extra adornments or theatrical displays.
Artist Statement
"I focus on the act of having a living body and the essence of existence itself. The subjects of my creations are not identifiable but represent a simple humanoid form. The experience of being present in my body at this very moment fills me with great emotion. To recognize my own body doesn’t need special decorations or production."
