CLOUD PASS Enhances Ticket Lottery Features with New Ranking System

CLOUD PASS Enhances Ticket Lottery Features with New Ranking System

CLOUD PASS, operated by Uniaim Inc. and led by CEO Yuji Haraguchi, has recently upgraded its ticket lottery functionality. A notable addition includes the ability for users to set their preferred dates and multiple ranking options when entering lotteries for events.

Background of the Development

This new feature was developed in response to requests from event and facility operators. They sought a more flexible lottery system for multiple dates and events due to the high demand for popular events. With traditional lottery systems struggling to efficiently manage user preferences, the new updates aim to alleviate management burdens while providing a better experience for applicants.

CLOUD PASS’s latest update allows users to submit applications with several ranked preferences, thus enabling an efficient ticket allocation that reflects attendees’ desires. This is particularly useful in high-demand settings.

Application Scenarios

The new functionality can benefit various events and venues, including:
  • - High-demand performances and concerts where ticket applications are numerous.
  • - Sports events featuring multiple matches that require ticket sales.
  • - Reservation-based events at experiential facilities, workshops, theme parks, or tourist sites.

By allowing users to rank their preferences across multiple dates, this feature enhances fairness in application opportunities while optimizing sales operations.

How the Ranking System Works

The lottery system now allows for a flexible selection based on the preferred ranking chosen by the attendees. There are primarily two lottery methods supported by this new feature:

Pattern 1: One Event Only Wins

In this structure, only one event from the attendee’s ranked preferences can be selected. For instance, if an applicant lists:
  • - First Choice: July 1, 18:00 show
  • - Second Choice: July 2, 18:00 show
  • - Third Choice: July 3, 18:00 show
If the first choice is already sold out, the system checks for availability in the second and third choices, ensuring only one event is confirmed for attendance.
This method suits events where participation is limited to one per person.

Pattern 2: Multiple Events May Win

This structure allows for the possibility of an attendee winning tickets for multiple chosen events. Using the same example:
  • - First Choice: July 1, 18:00 show
  • - Second Choice: July 2, 18:00 show
  • - Third Choice: July 3, 18:00 show
If there are seats available, attendees might win tickets to all their chosen shows. This method is ideal for events like sports leagues, showing multiple matches, and participatory events.

Summary of Features

Combining multiple preferred lottery applications and offering several winning opportunities presents unique challenges that many ticket sales systems face outside of major ticketing agencies. However, CLOUD PASS provides a flexible lottery structure tailored to the specifics of each event.
Moreover, CLOUD PASS continues to offer both conventional lottery features without ranked preferences and other functionalities suited to various operational models of events and facilities.
