YAMAHA MUSIC SCHOOL Collaborates with BAKKORO ROCK
In an exciting new initiative, YAMAHA MUSIC SCHOOL, under the leadership of Chairman Takuya Nakada and located in Meguro, Tokyo, is partnering with the beloved manga series 'BAKKORO ROCK' to launch a unique promotional campaign. This collaboration will kick off in February 2026 and is aimed at introducing the joys of music to the younger generation through a series of engaging music experience activities across its classrooms nationwide.
'BAKKORO ROCK' is an entertaining music comedy created by Chihiro Onikusa and based on the original concept by Yuta Nukaga. The manga, which enjoyed a successful run in the monthly 'Corocoro Comic' magazine published by Shogakukan from May to October 2025, follows the journey of a young protagonist, Rock-kun. In the story, he embarks on an adventure with a diverse group of Yamaha instructors, delving into the fun of band activities and instrument performance. The manga not only showcases the thrill of music but also provides beginner-friendly techniques for learning instruments, featuring real Yamaha classrooms and instructors as models.
Starting in alignment with the release of the manga's first compiled edition on January 28, 2026, YAMAHA MUSIC SCHOOL will conduct this campaign targeting elementary and middle school students. The initiative provides structured opportunities for beginners to confidently engage with musical instruments. Full details can be found on their campaign's special website.
