SEVY: A Trendsetter in Korean Knitting Culture
Japan is about to experience a delightful invasion of Korean knitting culture, with the arrival of the immensely popular yarn brand
SEVY.
Tsuclea Co., a subgroup of the
Tamura Koma Group, has secured exclusive rights to sell SEVY in Japan. Starting from
August 26, 2026, visitors to the
Isetan Shinjuku store will get an exclusive first look at SEVY’s unique products during a special event,
ISETAN SHUGEI 2026, running until
September 1.
The SEVY Experience
Founded in
1980, SEVY has flourished alongside the rise of Korea’s handicraft culture. The brand's flagship store,
SEVY HAUS, located in the vibrant district of
Seong-su-dong, Seoul, serves not only as a retail space but also as a knitting lounge, offering an interactive experience that combines crafting, coffee, books, and music into a single space. This has made it a sought-after destination for knitting enthusiasts, even featuring on various travel blogs and social media as a must-visit spot in Korea.
SEVY's approach goes beyond mere sales; they ensure a steady supply of quality products through their in-house factory. This commitment is backed by a network of designers that produces around
300 new designs annually. Additionally, they offer over
1,000 tutorial videos, creating a comprehensive experience that encompasses everything from yarn to the finished product. SEVY is reshaping the way people interact with knitting, presenting a fresh lifestyle that resonates with crafting lovers worldwide.
