Kizuna Dining: Fostering Community Through Food
This June, the Kizuna Welfare Association, located in Kita-ku, Tokyo, continues its mission of creating communal spaces for children with its "Kizuna Dining" initiative. Aim to nourish young hearts and bellies, this program serves home-cooked, balanced meals prepared by daycare chefs. The meals are limited to
120 servings, ensuring that the resources are thoughtfully distributed among attendees.
Schedule for June Events
Dates: 9th (Tuesday) and 23rd (Tuesday)
Time: Starting at 16:30 (limited to 50 meals per session)
Location: 2-52-7 Shimo, Kita-ku, Tokyo (inside PiliAloha)
Menu Highlights
The menu will feature popular choices:
- - Chicken Curry
- - Mochiko Chicken (a favorite among attendees!)
These dishes are crafted with care, using daycare recipes that prioritize nutritional balance. To ensure a delightful dining experience, ingredients like vegetables are cut into smaller sizes for easier consumption.
Dining Options
- - Dine-in or Takeaway are both available. While enjoying your meal in-house, guests can also indulge in screenings of varied content from anime, movies, sports, and games.
In May, Kizuna Dining successfully hosted two children's dining events, where they served
Hayashi Rice, which received enthusiastic feedback with many children expressing their eagerness to come back for more. This was complemented by the ever-popular Mochiko Chicken, creating a joyful atmosphere for both kids and local community members alike.
These meals have not only filled bellies but have also fostered smiles and strengthened connections within the community.
Having witnessed tremendous success, Kizuna Dining aims to continue its promise into 2026, focusing on providing a safe and cheerful gathering place for children while fulfilling their nutritional needs. The initiative is determined to expand its circle of warm interactions alongside local supporters.
