In an exciting development for the gaming community, Osaka is set to host its inaugural e-sports event, the Osaka GeN Scramble, from January 30 to February 1, 2026. This thrilling event is supported by HAL Osaka, marking a significant step in promoting e-sports in the region. The event will take place across multiple venues including Grand Front Osaka and the HAL Osaka campus, offering an immersive experience for both participants and attendees.

A Hub for E-Sports Enthusiasts


The HAL Osaka Umeda Campus, located just 90 seconds from Osaka Station, will serve as a key venue for the event. Visitors will have the chance to engage in various popular games such as Fortnite, Street Fighter 6, VALORANT, Puyo Puyo eSports, and Powerful Pro Baseball 2024-2025. Admission to the event is free, and attendees can come and go as they please during the opening hours from 10:00 to 18:00 on the public days, January 31 and February 1.

Special Guest Appearance by VTuber Honma Himawari


Adding to the excitement, famed VTuber Honma Himawari from the Nijisanji group will host a talk session on January 31 from 13:30 to 14:00. Fans and aspiring gamers alike won’t want to miss this unique opportunity to hear from one of the most popular virtual streamers.

Live Commentary by Esports Commentator Esusabure


To further enhance the event atmosphere, renowned e-sports caster Esusabure, active primarily in the Kansai and Osaka areas, will provide live commentary during the e-sports experience on February 1 from 16:00. His presence will surely energize the participants and elevate the overall experience.

Showcasing Student Creations at Grand Front Osaka


The main event will showcase works created by HAL Osaka students, including award-winning game and CG creations. Among the highlights is octΩpus, a game recognized as the best project at the CAPCOM GAMES COMPETITION, which comes with a grand prize of 5 million yen. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore these impressive student projects and witness the incredible talent emerging from the school.
