2026 Shibuya Sky Rooftop Stargazing Schedule Announced with Special Events

2026 Shibuya Sky Rooftop Stargazing Events

Shibuya Sky, located in the Shibuya Scramble Square, is set to collaborate with Vixen, a leading optical equipment manufacturer, on its popular stargazing event for 2026. With the stunning Shibuya skyline as a backdrop, the Rooftop Stargazing event offers a unique blend of astronomical observation conducted from the heights of Tokyo, at 229 meters. Each month, visitors will get the chance to engage in guided stargazing, utilizing telescopes and binoculars provided by Vixen, alongside expert commentary on heavenly bodies visible that night.

One of the highlights of the upcoming events in March 2026 includes two special activities. The first is the “SHIBUYA HINAMATSURI LUNAR ECLIPSE,” scheduled for March 3rd. Participants will have the opportunity to experience a unique total lunar eclipse, celebrated in Japan during Hinamatsuri (Doll Festival). Limited to 330 guests, this event promises an incredible night of lunar beauty from the rooftop, with both the traditional telescope observations and live lunar projections enhanced by the interpretation of a knowledgeable astronomer. Tickets for this exclusive experience will be available from February 3 at a price of 5,000 yen.
