As fall rolls in, Universal Studios Japan is gearing up for a spectacular celebration of its 25th anniversary. From September 10 to November 8, 2026, the park will unveil the Universal Extreme Autumn - Discover U!!! event, inviting guests to join their beloved characters for a heartwarming and thrilling autumn experience.

In a recent preview for the press, the park showcased a feast of activities perfect for visitors of all ages. The well-loved characters, including Hello Kitty, My Melody & Kuromi, Snoopy, and Hammie, will be donning Halloween-themed designs. Guests can enjoy themed food, merchandise, and carnival games that reflect the festive spirit of the season. One of the highlights will be the “Trick or Treat” activity, where children can enthusiastically approach the crew members for candy, spreading joy and excitement throughout the park.

In addition to this, the Super Nintendo World, celebrating its 5th anniversary, will feature the debut of the pink and aqua Yoshis. Guests were thrilled to interact with these adorable characters, snapping photos and waving in delight, creating a vibrant atmosphere throughout the area. This year's autumn event promises to bring even more joy and celebration to all guests.

Halloween Themed Food and Merchandise

At venues such as the Studio Stars Restaurant and Cinema 4-D Store, guests will find a whimsical array of food and merchandise inspired by the Street Zombie theme. The “kawaii (cute) yet creepy” twist on characters will be evident in offerings featuring Hello Kitty with a heart-patterned eye patch and My Melody & Kuromi dressed in bandages and light horror elements. Meanwhile, Snoopy will embody a cursed doll look with a stitched design and lethargic expression, showcasing the fascinating allure of Halloween-themed collectibles.

Guests had a chance to experience this festive spirit during exclusive events, reveling in the Halloween ambiance with character meet-and-greets and photo opportunities.

New Carnival Game Debuts

A highlight of this year's celebration is the brand new carnival game themed around the adorably eerie Hammie. Meet & Greet with Yoshi
