N6 Expands Global Distribution of iconPCR and AutoNorm Technologies to Enhance NGS Access
N6 Expands Global Distribution of iconPCR and AutoNorm Technologies
N6, renowned for its cutting-edge thermocyclers, has recently announced a significant expansion of its distribution networks, increasing access to its innovative products across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. This move is set to bring the benefits of the iconPCR™ technology and AutoNorm intelligent normalization software to a broader base of scientists engaged in next-generation sequencing (NGS) library preparation.
Enhanced Distribution Partnerships
Announcing strategic partnerships that bolster its presence, N6 now covers all of Western Europe, concentrating on key markets like Germany and its neighboring regions. Notably, Morpho Biotech has expanded its partnership with N6, which already included Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands, to embrace Germany. Their collaboration aims to enhance customer support in France, leveraging local market insights to ensure better service.
Koos Kranenborg, General Manager at Morpho Biotech, expressed enthusiasm regarding the potential of AutoNorm, stating, "Rather than treating every sample identically and correcting for variability afterward, AutoNorm intelligently controls amplification at the individual-sample level. It's exciting to see how this innovation has already positively influenced customer workflows."
Beyond Western Europe, N6's strategic outreach includes adding distribution firms that extend its reach into the Middle East and Africa. Bioseen Trading LLC has stepped in as their representative in the Gulf Region, enabling customers to access both iconPCR instruments and localized support. Additionally, Inqaba Biotec will serve as a critical channel partner in key African markets, enhancing N6’s operational footprint while complementing its existing network across the Americas and Asia-Pacific regions.
A Commitment to Scientific Advancement
Alex Hutcheson, the Vice President of Sales and Support at N6, articulated the company’s mission: “Our goal is to provide high-quality, scalable NGS library preparation solutions to scientists worldwide. Expanding our reach across Western Europe, the Middle East, and Africa is a vital step toward achieving that. Collaborating with distributors who understand their local markets is key to delivering our technologies to laboratories ready to transition from traditional methods of amplification and normalization.”
As their distribution network continues to proliferate, N6 remains committed to ongoing joint education and technical support with its partners. Throughout the latter half of 2026, N6 and its distributors will partake in numerous influential scientific conferences, including EMBL’s “Transcription and Chromatin” event in Heidelberg. Notably, an N6 customer will contribute to a workshop sponsored by N6, further solidifying the company's involvement in the scientific community.
The Innovation Behind iconPCR and AutoNorm
The iconPCR platform, enhanced with AutoNorm, signifies a significant advancement in NGS library prep, providing real-time, per-well control of amplification, along with automated normalization. This innovation empowers researchers to produce sequencing-ready libraries without the need for manual cleanup and quantification, streamlining what has traditionally been a cumbersome process. By integrating amplification, quantification, and normalization into a single automated step, iconPCR is paving the way for higher efficiency across various applications, including microbiome 16S, FFPE oncology, cfDNA, small RNA, and comprehensive genome studies.
Hutcheson noted, “With over 25 countries now implementing iconPCR and AutoNorm-enabled workflows, we often observe a repeating trend: teams solve a critical bottleneck in their library prep process and realize they can standardize on iconPCR across multiple applications, thanks to our growing distribution network.”
About N6
N6 specializes in crafting intelligent NGS library preparation instruments that marry real-time thermocycling technology with AutoNorm software. This combination produces normalized, sequencing-ready libraries from variable input volumes in a single automated step. The iconPCR line, featuring the high-throughput icon96 and the more compact icon16, is utilized by genomics cores and various research institutions globally, assisting in reducing failure rates, streamlining workflows, and enhancing data quality across metagenomics, oncology, and multi-omic applications.
