Understanding Corporate Forest Conservation Activities through TNFD: A Webinar

Webinar on Corporate Forest Conservation Activities through TNFD

Forest conservation has increasingly become a focal point for many businesses, particularly in light of the global sustainability initiatives like the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) and decarbonization efforts. Now, more than ever, organizations are encouraged to leverage forest resources to contribute positively to the environment. However, understanding the forest industry and the insights it entails remains a challenge for many. This is where Somano Base comes in, breaking down barriers by sharing knowledge and facilitating discussions around forests through webinars.

On June 18, 2025, Yachiyo Engineering Co., Ltd. will participate in a webinar hosted by Somano Base titled “Insight into Corporate Forest Conservation Activities from a TNFD Perspective.” This event aims to support businesses in understanding how they can effectively engage in forest conservation activities and disclose their efforts transparently.

Event Overview

The webinar will feature Takumi Konishi from Yachiyo Engineering as the main speaker, who will delve into the significance of corporate forest conservation activities as viewed through the framework of TNFD (Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures). Participants will gain valuable insights into how their relative projects can align with environmental guidelines and sustainability objectives.

The seminar will unfold in several sessions, starting with an introduction to Yachiyo Engineering and an explanation of TNFD. Konishi will speak on the relevance of forest-related disclosures and share concrete examples of corporate initiatives in this realm. Following that, representatives from Somano Base will present real-world case studies to illustrate common challenges companies face in this area and how they have successfully navigated them.

This webinar is especially valuable for individuals and companies who:
  • - Are unsure how to evaluate and disclose their forest-related initiatives.
  • - Wish to enhance their own company's endeavors regarding forest and water resources.
  • - Are planning or considering starting projects related to forests and water resources.
  • - Are looking to learn actively about the latest trends and information regarding forest conservation.
