As climate change intensifies and natural disasters become more frequent, the need for effective disaster preparedness in the workplace has never been more critical. In recognition of this urgent demand, Japan Management Association Management Center (JMAM) has announced the launch of its new e-learning course titled "Disaster Preparedness Basics: What Will You Do? Case-by-Case Strategies" on September 1, 2025.

The Growing Need for Disaster Preparedness


Natural disasters, including floods and earthquakes, pose a significant threat to lives and businesses. Many companies today are at risk, with approximately 37% lacking a Business Continuity Plan (BCP). Among those who do have plans, a staggering 76.5% admit their disaster preparedness strategies are insufficient or underdeveloped. This alarming reality highlights the necessity for proactive training prior to any disaster event.

The new e-learning course is designed to provide essential knowledge and practical solutions for professionals, enabling them to respond effectively in the aftermath of a disaster. By increasing awareness and preparedness among employees, companies can protect both their workforce and their operational continuity.

Course Overview


"Disaster Preparedness Basics: What Will You Do? Case-by-Case Strategies" aims to equip professionals with the foundational knowledge required to tackle various natural disaster scenarios. This course includes:
