Engaging in Meaningful Dialogue: 'Conversations Halfway’ Event to Explore Work Support Experience

On February 21, 2026, from 1 PM to 3 PM, Papageno, a company dedicated to innovative support for people with disabilities, will collaborate with the organizers of the event to host a meaningful dialogue session titled ‘Conversations Halfway – Time Before Words Take Form’. The event will be held at Papageno Work & Recovery, located in Yawata-yama, Suginami, Tokyo.

Event Overview

This unique event aims to provide a safe space for individuals working in the fields of welfare, healthcare, and education to explore the feelings of discomfort and unarticulated insights they encounter in their practices. Instead of seeking definitive answers or predetermined frameworks, the dialogue will focus on the ‘here and now’ of being amid practices.

Participants will have the opportunity to share their thoughts and experiences, guided by special guests Yasumasa Tanaka, CEO of Papageno, and Nobuyuki Suzuki, founder of Kankai.net. The discussion will revolve around the concept of ‘supporting alongside’—a collaborative approach that transcends traditional boundaries.

Why Attend?

This event is designed for those who:
  • - Feel discomfort with existing frameworks within their practices.
  • - Seek relationships that foster support and collaboration in actions.
  • - Need space to articulate their feelings before they become clear concepts.
  • - Have a strong reaction to the principles discussed in ‘Social Work 4.0’—Yasumasa Tanaka’s recent publication.

Please note that this is not a seminar where clear methodologies or conclusions are provided. Participants are welcomed regardless of their familiarity with the book.

Event Format

Rather than following a conventional seminar format, this dialogue-based event encourages participants to share their confusions and inexpressible feelings in a relaxed atmosphere. People from diverse professions—healthcare, welfare, community engagement, and expression activities—will come together, and everyone with an interest in ‘supporting people’ will find value in this gathering.
