The first regional event, held in the Chubu area, attracted 141 participants, surpassing last year's record of 139 players. Notably, this is the third consecutive year with a remarkable 30% participation rate from newcomers, signaling the growing popularity of board games across Japan.

The grand final in Tokyo will determine the national champion, who will receive the prestigious opportunity to represent Japan in the upcoming Catan World Championship in 2027.
