ONLYOFFICE 10.0 Release

ONLYOFFICE has recently unveiled its major autumn update, version 10.0, which brings a wealth of advancements to its open-source office suite. This update not only integrates contextual AI tools directly into the editors but also introduces several modular applications and significantly enhances security features.

AI Integration

The standout feature of ONLYOFFICE 10.0 is the integration of AI across various editors — documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and even PDFs. With a dedicated AI tab that hosts an integrated chat, users can effortlessly harness AI to generate drafts, summarize content, translate text, and format documents without the need to switch between different platforms or tools. This capability transforms the document creation experience, allowing users to focus on content rather than logistics.

The new 'Keep with Next' option ensures related content remains together, and right-to-left support has become more reliable. Furthermore, calculations within spreadsheets run faster, supported by improved formulas, hints, and a new animated copyframe feature. Presentations now offer new view modes and extended print settings, as well as the ability to export slides as GIFs or videos.

Expanded File Support

Among other enhancements, users can now work with .ofd files and save spreadsheets in .xls format. SVG files can be converted into editable shapes, and data tables can be added to diagrams. The plugin manager has also been revamped, now supporting plugins like “Antidote,” “Curly,” and various Salesforce integrations.

Enhanced Security Features

Recognizing the evolving landscape of AI-driven threats, ONLYOFFICE 10.0 addresses 35 security vulnerabilities to bolster protection for businesses dealing with sensitive data. This update is a commitment to ensuring user data remains safe and secure in a rapidly changing digital environment.

Desktop and Mobile Updates

The desktop editors now feature a revamped homepage, redesigned template and cloud areas, and integration with Odoo amongst other visual improvements on Linux platforms. Additionally, AI tools are available as an optional add-on in the desktop community.

Mobile users will benefit from FREE iOS and Android apps featuring an AI assistant, alongside new providers such as “Grok” and “DeepSeek.” These apps also support AI auto-completion for forms and voice input, thus ensuring users can work effectively on the go.
