Unleashing Culinary and Cinematic Creativity: SCREEN TORAMARU Short Film Nights

Celebrate Culinary Arts and Short Films at SCREEN TORAMARU

Join us for an exciting three-day event, SCREEN TORAMARU - SHORT FILM NIGHTS with Visual EXPO, held from September 30 to October 2 at the vibrant TORANOMON MARCHÉ. This unique collaboration, made possible with support from Nittetsu Kowa Real Estate Co., aims to harness the power of visual storytelling to shape the future of business.

What to Expect

The event features screenings of award-winning short films from the renowned BRANDED SHORTS program, recognized by the American Academy Awards as one of Asia's largest international short film festivals. Visitors can indulge in captivating short films centered around the theme of food from diverse countries, reflecting cultural richness and creativity.

On special nights of the festival, we will host themed discussions led by industry voices to dive deeper into the convergence of food and cinema. A key highlight is the talk event titled "A Night Where Food Meets Film," featuring actress and director Sara Ogawa. This discussion will explore how short films convey powerful narratives about food, enriching the audience's appreciation for culinary arts through visual storytelling.

Explore the Lineup

While details of the screening lineup will be shared on the website, here are a few teaser films:
  • - Candy Bar directed by Nash Edgerton (Australia) - This delightful comedy explores familial connections within the unexpected context of a candy bar line.
  • - Earth’s Blessings, A Bite of Happiness by Srinivas Kamath et al. (India) - A moving branded short that tells the story of Naturals Ice Cream, showcasing the journey of nature to their delicious ice creams, reflecting purity, tradition, and craftsmanship.

The Venue

TORANOMON MARCHÉ, a food hall that opened in November 2025, features a variety of 11 eateries, including Japanese, Italian, and ethnic cuisines. With its open kitchen and vibrant atmosphere, it's a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a meal before or after the screenings. The venue beautifully accommodates 263 seats during the day and expands to 306 seats at night, promising ample opportunity for guests to mingle and dine.
