Experience Science and Creativity at GLI's New STEAM Event

In a world rapidly evolving through technology and innovation, fostering curiosity and creativity in young minds has never been more essential. On February 28, 2026, the Global Learner's Institute (GLI) will host an immersive STEAM event titled 'Magic Lab, Light & Color.' This captivating program offers children aged 7 to 12 an opportunity to engage in hands-on experiments that blend science, creativity, and English language skills.

Discovering the Science Behind Everyday Questions

The 'Magic Lab, Light & Color' event is centered around the simple yet profound inquiries of everyday life. By exploring the properties of light, color, and matter, participants will embark on a journey that combines scientific reasoning with creative expression. Activities are designed to encourage scientific thinking and enhance communication in English, ensuring a holistic educational experience.

STEAM Activities to Inspire Young Scientists

GLI prides itself on implementing Project-Based Learning (PBL), a pedagogical approach that emphasizes experiential learning through real-world challenges. This event embraces PBL principles, allowing children to grow as 'young scientists' through activities such as:

1. Potter Magic Stick Candle
Participants will experience the effects of air and heat through a 'magical experiment,' learning basic physics concepts and related English vocabulary.

2. DIY Glass Home Projector
In this activity, children will assemble a projector to understand the relationship between light and lenses, developing their theoretical thinking and language skills as they explain how it works in English.

3. Lava Lamp
By investigating the unique properties of water and oil, participants will learn about density and color dynamics, enhancing their descriptive abilities in English as they communicate the changes in colors.
