Superior HealthPlan Grants $100,000 to Support Texas Community Organizations

Superior HealthPlan Grants to Texas Organizations

In a significant move to bolster community health initiatives, Superior HealthPlan, a prominent managed care organization within Texas and part of Centene Corporation, has announced the recipients of its 2026 grant program. This year, a total of $100,000 will be distributed to ten organizations throughout Texas, all geared towards assisting low-income neighborhoods and families.

Dr. Susan Mills, Senior Vice President of Population Health and Clinical Outcomes, emphasized the importance of these grants: "We're proud to support the meaningful work of community-based organizations across Texas through our annual grant program. We thank all the organizations that applied and look forward to many fruitful partnerships ahead."

Since the inception of its grant program in 2018, Superior HealthPlan has allocated over $1.3 million to various community partners to address non-medical factors affecting health. These grants aim to tackle key areas such as:
  • - Housing Stability: Support programs designed to decrease housing insecurity for Medicaid members.
  • - Food Security: Initiatives improving access to nutritious food and helping meet emergency food needs for vulnerable populations.
  • - Healthcare Access: Educational programs that aim to lower barriers to care and enhance health outcomes.
