Global Girls Glow Inspires Change with Peru and Zambia Empowerment Trips

Global Girls Glow: Empowering Future Leaders Through Cultural Immersion

Global Girls Glow, an organization dedicated to nurturing leadership and advocacy among young girls worldwide, is currently hosting its 2026 Insights Trip in beautiful Peru. This transformative six-day experience allows a select group of participants to dive deep into the organization's impactful work through its signature program, GLOW Club. This initiative, active in over 30 countries, aims at helping girls become powerful advocates and confident leaders.

Experience in Peru: Leadership in Action

From now until April 25, 2026, attendees are engaging in various hands-on experiences that include direct interaction with GLOW Clubs, which embody the organization's commitment to empowering girls. Participants are not just observers; they actively engage in mentoring sessions alongside girls aged 8-15, learning about leadership development through discussions that cover topics like self-expression, entrepreneurship, and sexual and reproductive health.

In addition to mentorship, this program is rich with cultural immersion. Participants have the chance to explore Huanchaco, a charming coastal surf town, and the historic ambiance of Trujillo, a city filled with archaeological wonders. The schedule goes beyond lectures, incorporating local culinary delights and guided tours that showcase the rich history of the surrounding area. To top off the adventure, participants can opt to extend their journey to the iconic Machu Picchu, adding an exhilarating conclusion to their Peruvian experience.

Voices of Empowerment

Crystal Sprague, CEO of Global Girls Glow, passionately articulates the mission behind GLOW Club: "At its core, GLOW Club is about unlocking confidence and power from within and creating space for girls to lead change in their own communities and beyond." The transformational power of this program shines through when participants witness girls confidently expressing themselves and advocating for change. Former participant Sharon Glover summarizes the experience perfectly: "You walk away wanting to be more involved, and you can articulate the impact in a way that wouldn't be possible without this trip. What you will gain personally is just immeasurable."

Excitement for the Future

With the positive momentum from the Peru trip, Global Girls Glow is excited to announce its 2027 Insights Trip to Zambia, scheduled for March 14-20, 2027. This upcoming program is designed to bring participants into the vibrant GLOW Club communities of Lusaka and Livingstone, where girls are not only learning about leadership but also taking significant steps to advocate for their communities. Similar to the Peruvian trip, a portion of each participant's registration will be directed to support ongoing Global Girls Glow programming.

Registration for the Zambia trip opens on June 1, 2026, and interested individuals are encouraged to secure their spots early due to limited availability. Participants can expect not only a deep dive into the local culture and community empowerment but also a personal journey of growth and connection.
