Marvel Games and NetEase Games have officially announced the arrival of Season 9.5, titled 'Tebes Legend,' set to launch on August 7, 2026. This season promises to deliver a plethora of thrilling new content for players, including the introduction of a new hero and limited-time events that are bound to elevate the gaming experience.

Introduction of the New Vanguard Hero: Hood

One of the standout additions in this update is the introduction of 'Hood,' a new Vanguard hero. Hood is none other than Parker Robbins, who combines the elements of a gangster with demonic powers. This character boasts a unique combat style, capable of switching between human and demonic forms at will. His strength lies in dual-wielding pistols for sustained shooting and utilizing a magical cloak to harness chaotic powers from 'Oblivion.' This allows Hood to grant shields to allies and create barriers using dark magical bullets, showcasing a perfect blend of offensive and defensive abilities.

When Hood activates his ultimate skill, he fully embraces the darkness, transforming into a 'Fully Demon Form.' In this powerful state known as 'Gun Demon,' he unleashes devastating firepower, firing bullets that penetrate shields and grant additional health to nearby allies through a phenomenon referred to as Demon Energy.

Rivals Summer Fest Vol. 2 Kicks Off on August 13

On August 13, players can also look forward to the commencement of 'Rivals Summer Fest' Vol. 2. This special event will feature new 'Swimsuit Specials' alongside unique cosmetic items. Additionally, players will see enhancements for Lady Loki, including dedicated movement motions and skill animations. These new animations can be easily toggled within the costume menu, offering players customization options to enhance their experience.

Moreover, the beloved event 'Clakoah Fishing Diary' will make a return as Vol. 2, much to the delight of fans from previous iterations.

Major Storage Optimizations via Texture Compression

Another significant update in Season 9.5 is the extensive texture compression aimed at significantly reducing game data size while preserving visual quality. On the PC version, players can expect a reduction of approximately 40GB, while PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions will offer around a 15GB cut in storage capacity.
