On June 17th, 2026, NCSOFT Japan launched an exhilarating update for its renowned MMORPG, The Tower of AION. This update, titled "Terror! Fortress of Afeta-Belslan," promises to enhance the game experience by introducing strategic adjustments and new content, particularly in the popular player-versus-player (PvP) domain.

The update was implemented during the routine maintenance, and it marks a significant enhancement to the PvP experience in the game, focusing on the Afeta-Belslan Fortress. Key adjustments included reinforcing the durability of the Guardian General, improving rewards, and enhancing vital artifacts such as "Flare Smash" and "Attack Shout." These changes are designed to deepen the strategic elements of fortress battles, allowing for exciting reversals during gameplay. Moreover, the timing of the fortress battles has been altered to every Saturday at 10 p.m., encouraging more players to participate.

Introducing the New Mission Content

In addition to the PvP enhancements, a brand new solo content, "Diva’s Journey," has been introduced. Players can now undertake missions that yield various rewards upon completion. Accumulating completion points also offers additional rewards, adding further incentive to engage with this new feature. The popular solo dungeon, "Trial of Immortality," has received a competitive ranking system, where players can strengthen their characters and strive for top positions on the leaderboard.

The Exciting Lottery Event

Alongside the update, an enticing lottery event known as the "Exciting Lottery" has begun. Running from June 17th to July 15th, this event allows players to earn lottery tickets through daily login missions and purchasing "lottery boxes." Participants have the chance to win rare items, including the grand prize, the "Violent Armageddon Weapon Box," and the second prize, the "Violent Armageddon Armor Box." Moreover, all participants will receive the "Glorious Billiard Hat Selection Box" or strengthening materials as a participation reward.

The results of the lottery will be accessible on the event page, encouraging players to join in on the excitement and potentially walk away with amazing rewards.
