SANY Group Marks a Milestone with First Equipment Production in Brazil
SANY Group Marks Production Milestone in Brazil
SANY Group, a global leader in construction and heavy machinery manufacturing, has announced a groundbreaking achievement at its new facility in Campinas, São Paulo. The plant has successfully completed the assembly of its first excavators and commercial vehicles, marking a crucial step in the company’s operational strategy in Latin America.
With an expansive 350,000 square meter facility, the initial phase features two assembly lines specifically designed for excavators and commercial vehicles. This setup boasts an impressive annual production capacity, able to manufacture up to 3,500 units per year. More specifically, the excavator assembly line is projected to produce 1,500 units annually, while the commercial vehicle line is expected to deliver 2,000 units each year. This capacity will enable SANY to better serve customers not only in Brazil but also across surrounding Latin American markets.
The establishment of local production in Brazil is a strategic move aimed at significantly reducing cross-border logistics costs and import tariffs, thereby accelerating delivery times and improving service to local clients. By integrating production, distribution, and services at one location, SANY enhances its supply chain efficiency and strengthens its competitive edge within the Latin American market.
Since its entry into the Brazilian market, SANY has been laser-focused on local sales, manufacturing, and customer service. The inauguration of the Campinas facility allows SANY to operate with a seamless manufacturing approach, thereby solidifying its presence in the region.
Local production forms just one component of SANY’s long-term commitment to Brazil. Along with this manufacturing investment, the company has poured resources into local operations, distribution channels, and financial services tailored to meet specific market needs. Currently, approximately 80% of SANY Brazil employees are hired locally, and the company boasts a robust network of numerous dealers spread throughout the country. The plant has already created around 200 direct jobs, with plans to generate thousands more in the future.
Moreover, SANY Banco, which received approval from the Brazilian Central Bank in 2025 and began operations in early 2026, provides integrated solutions in equipment, service, and financing designed for local customers.
Cao Te, Chairman of SANY Latin America, and Chen Wei, Project Leader, expressed enthusiasm over the readiness of the first-phase production lines, stating that planning for the second phase has already commenced. This future expansion aims to introduce additional product categories, broadening SANY's offerings in Brazil.
As they look ahead, both executives affirmed the company's ambition to transform the Campinas facility into a regional production hub, further enhancing local manufacturing capabilities. SANY is committed to delivering high-quality products to clients throughout Latin America.
In conclusion, the launch of excavator and commercial vehicle production in Campinas not only represents a victory for SANY Group but also emphasizes the company's determination to foster economic growth and local employment in Brazil. By localizing production, SANY is set to play a pivotal role in the development of the construction machinery sector in the region, while ensuring customers receive unparalleled service and support. This milestone is just the beginning of SANY's journey in establishing a stronghold in Latin American markets.
